Oregon Family Photography | Everyday is a Day Worth Celebrating! But, on this very special day, the Taylor Family was celebrating Elijah’s very first birthday AND momma’s 30th birthday! I am still so honored that they asked me to come and be a part of it!
I met Edith almost a year ago in an online photography workshop we took together. {Edith is a rad photographer and you can see her work at Simply Kissed Photography} I was drawn to her because of her heart and her complete honesty, in her work and in her words. We became social media friends, and before I knew it, I felt like I had met my sister in Christ. Its not everyday you meet someone that speaks to your heart, especially not by chance and online at that.
When she asked me to travel to Oregon to document this special day, I was in pure disbelief. I was nervous, excited, anxious… Shooting for a photographer is one thing, but traveling to shoot for a photographer… like whoa!
As soon as I pulled into her driveway I was greeted with a big ‘ol hug from Edith! She came running out to meet me and my van full of children, and my hubby too! It was like we were lifelong friends. Like I said, I love her heart.
Once we got inside, I got to meet her husband and her little guy, and Moose too! {You will see in the video that Moose pretty much never leaves Elijah’s side} And, then they started living and I started shooting. While looking through my viewfinder, I got to witness so much love, laughter and life! This family is rad! They are supportive, loving and they truly have a Christ centered way of life. It was such a blessing witness that and to be a part of this day with them.
