Tacoma Birth Photographer | Happy Birth Day to dear Alexis!

I was OH SO HAPPY when I got the text from Adrienne telling me that she was pregnant again! And even more over the moon when she asked me to be a part of this little peanut’s Birth Day! There is something SO special about a second time momma wanting you to come into her sacred Birth Space again!

When the day FINALLY came to meet Alexis, we were all ready! Especially Momma! She had been contracting off and on for a week, and then pretty constant the day off (or, I should say, the day before)! When she was admitted into Labor & Delivery at 6cm I packed my bags and came flying to the hospital! When I got to her room (which was the SAME room she delivered her oldest daughter in), you couldn’t even tell she was in labor! She was happy and relaxed and contractions weren’t even phasing her! Seeing a momma in labor is one of the most beautiful sights to see!

As the night went on, everyone, especially Momma, was tired and SO ready to meet Alexis! It took a LONG time, but finally, around 2pm the NEXT day, delivery was immanent! Adrienne had a wonderful support group cheering her on the whole way! And FINALLY. After MANY hours of active labor and almost an hour and a half of pushing…Finally Momma got to hold her sweet daughter in her arms! And THAT right there, is a sacred, testimonial moment, that never leaves a Momma’s heart! <3
