Tacoma Family Photography | Do you ever go through your digital albums and delete all the garbage photos? Half closed eyes, everything is out of focus, that double chin that you hate happily made a special appearance? I mean, you’re supposed to delete those right? Well, I had a trash folder that was ready to be emptied… I hadn’t pushed FINAL delete button in awhile, so I figured I would rummage through the folder real quick, just in case. And, I found a few photos that maybe shouldn’t have found their way to the trash folder…some that NEEDED to be deleted ASAP…and then this one. I stopped scrolling and just sat in the moment of this image.
My littlest one was almost 11 months. She wanted to walk all the time…but couldn’t quite do so without holding someone’s hands. But. It was her favorite thing to do. In between eating and napping, she would walk laps around the house {with someone’s assistance}. This particular day, her oldest sister, BrookLynn, walked laps with her for a good 30-40 minutes. Lots of smiles, teeny tiny foot stomps and giggles were parading around our living room, dining room and foyer.
To anyone else who was to stumble upon this photo, would probably think it was junk. Its crooked, the subjects are out of focus, the majority of the image is blown. But for me. I sit here quietly in front of my computer… Living that moment… Hearing those giggles… Loving this memory… Blurry, blown and crooked… I love this!

mary beth - I love this and I have done the same thing! I recently took a CM breakout that told us to embrace the imperfect, to forget the rules! So I went back and found a lot of new loved images that I would have trashed in the past!
Kaethe - Right! I am so glad that I typically don’t throw everything that is junk away. I usually let it simmer in the trash before I commit to actually deleting the images permanently! I often find a gem when I come back to delete the flagged images…maybe only one in 100, but, I’ll take it!
Kristin - What yummy light!! Beautiful memory. xo
Jessica B - What a sweet moment and memory!! I’m so glad you didn’t delete it! I could mistake this for my oldest daughter and baby, so thank you so much for posting it!
